Permafrost and snow
Using InSAR for understanding the hydrologic state of permafrost in the Arctic
Our objective is to understand hydrologic dynamics in permafrost terrain and to improve our ability to scale to larger areas and predict future states of water storage and fluxes. Underlying this objective is the robust quantification of terrestrial water storage and fluxes with 10-100 meter spatial resolution over an entire watershed through relevant temporal scales, which in turn requires advances in the application of current and future InSAR products.
